Don’t drive while distracted.
And I know many today do. But when you’re talking on your cell phone, putting on makeup, eating breakfast, or (not uncommon) reading!—while operating a multi-ton motor vehicle—you’re putting yourself and others in danger. For basically naught. Research affirms, whether you’re driving or not, multitasking is less effective, less productive than doing things sequentially. Why? Because you’re not doing either task well. Plus, it’s stressful, so you’re burning nervous energy—energy you won’t have when you need it later on. Still not convinced? A recent study shows that the constant distractions of multitasking destroys cells in the hippocampus. It’s frying your brain! Be safe. Drive focused. Why make yourself crazy?
There is little need to explain to you the connection between obesity and your health. Apart from being aesthetically all wrong, it puts a strain on the heart, the internal organs, the legs and feet and in fact the entire body. It is dangerous to be overweight.
